Breakout Session Descriptions:
Speak Truth Into Unfulfillment
Speaking Truth into unfulfilled promises, unfulfilled passion, and unfulfilled purpose. Five truths will be presented to empower women to fulfill God’s Promises from His Word and demonstrate how God will use the fulfillment of His Word to fulfill your passion and purpose.
Speak Truth Into Ungodly Bondages
Bondages range from bitterness, to offense, to trauma, and everything in between. We will talk about what the Bible says about bondage and we will pray over these areas to break that bondage by using targeted scripture to combat the lie.
Speak Truth Into Your Worth
(This breakout is for EVERYONE but it is also highly recommended to be a compliment breakout for the teens attending the breakout on insecurities.)
Our world is so confused and shouting all the wrong things to find our worth. This breakout will spend time diving into the truth of where we should find our worth.
Speak Truth Into Your Calling
Speaking Truth into the calling that the Lord has put on your life specifically. We will discuss living according to God’s standards diligently, and obediently walking in the path Christ has set before you in a world that pressures us to settle for less.
Speak Truth Into Others
If you are interested in mentoring, this is the place for you. We will dig deep into what it looks like to mentor and how it is essential to allow the Lord to be a part of this process and create the opportunity.
Speak Truth Into your Family
How do we live out Truth in front of our family? How do we guide our family in Truth without nagging? We will talk about how God’s Word and His leading can help us live this out faithfully.
Speak Truth Into Your Insecurities (For TEENS ONLY)
We all struggle with insecurities, but where do they come from, and how do we face them? In this breakout session for Middle and High School girls, we will dig into God’s Word to seek wisdom and guidance for facing our daily insecurities that lead to comparison, striving, misplaced trust, and impossible standards.
February 12 // All Services
Parent Meeting // February 8 at 6:30PM
We believe in supporting the families at River Oak as they raise their children to know and love God. (Deuteronomy 6:5-9, Ephesians 6:4) One way we strive to support is through our Child Dedication services. Child Dedication is a public confession by the parents to train their children in the Christian faith as God has commanded. At the same time, the church body promises to support these parents in prayer and encouragement. Our dedication services happen 3 times a year during the worship services on Sunday. Parents and their child are introduced to the congregation to confirm their dedication and prayed over by our Senior Pastor.
Thursdays January 12 – May 18 // 6 – 8PM // ROOM 121D
DivorceCare groups meet weekly to help you face these challenges and move toward rebuilding your life.
Each session has two distinct elements:
A Seminar with Experts During the first 30–40 minutes of the meeting – Each DivorceCare group watches a video seminar featuring top experts on divorce and recovery subjects. These videos are produced in an interesting-to-watch television magazine format featuring expert interviews, real-life case studies and on-location video.
A Support Group with Focus – After viewing the video, DivorceCare group participants spend time as a support group, discussing what was presented in that week’s video seminar and what is going on in the lives of group members.
Please join us as we encourage those who are battling cancer through prayer, sending cards and tying prayer blankets.
If you have have any questions please email Colleen Magness at email@example.com
