Missions & Outreach Director
Summer joined River Oak in 2020 and became the Director of Missions & Outreach in 2023. She has a passion for helping the body of Christ discover the places God would have them connect and serve in order to share the hope and love of Jesus. Whether you would like to learn more about a local outreach opportunity or join us on a short-term mission trip, Summer would love to help you get connected with missions & outreach at River Oak. Summer received her undergraduate and law degree from Florida State University and has been married to her wonderful husband, Joe, for 20 years this October. They have 3 daughters, Kate, Emma, and Elizabeth; and a naughty labradoodle named Henry.
OUTREACH
We are one body, made up of many parts. Here at River Oak we believe God has uniquely gifted and called each of us to play a part in advancing His kingdom in our local, national, and global community. We activate the people and resources of River Oak by equipping them to share their faith, exposing them to needs in the area through service opportunities, and connecting them to strategic mission partners who are working to advance the gospel in our area and abroad.
INTERNATIONAL MISSIONS
Our church desires to be a light in the world and to fulfill the great commission throughout the globe. Throughout the year, we offer several international mission trips and would love for you to pray and consider joining us in spreading the Gospel.
Our next Medical Mission Trip to Belize is October 9- 13, 2024. There will be an interest meeting for this trip on Sunday, July 28th and applications/paperwork will be due Monday, August 5, 2024.
