Family Worship Sundays
Family Worship Sunday
June 21, 2026
We wanted to let you know about a few upcoming Sundays when there will be no large or small group programming for Kindergarten through 5th grade.
We are excited to offer it as a meaningful opportunity for your family to worship together. These Sundays create a special space for your children to experience the larger church service and begin to understand that they are not just part of the children’s ministry—they are an important part of our entire church family.
There is something powerful about children seeing their parents worship, pray, sing, and engage with God’s Word. These moments help shape their understanding of faith and allow them to learn what happens in the larger church setting while feeling connected to it.
We believe worshipping together as a family can broaden their understanding of church and create opportunities for conversations that continue at home.
The Sundays, May 10 and June 21, were selected to align with the Sundays when Student Ministry will not be meeting, making it possible for families with children of all ages to worship together.
We are looking forward to these special family worship Sundays and all that God may do through them.
Parent / Child Dedication
June 21 // All Services
Parent Meeting // June 14 at 9:30AM in Room 210D
We believe in supporting the families at River Oak as they raise their children to know and love God. (Deuteronomy 6:5-9, Ephesians 6:4) One way we strive to support is through our Child Dedication services. Child Dedication is a public confession by the parents to train their children in the Christian faith as God has commanded. At the same time, the church body promises to support these parents in prayer and encouragement. Our dedication services happen 3 times a year during the worship services on Sunday. Parents and their child are introduced to the congregation to confirm their dedication and prayed over.
