Big Picture: River Oak Church is a Council-Led, Congregational Church

How we are Council-Led:

River Oak Church is considered a “Council-Led” church because elected members of the Church Council, who function as Elders/Overseers/Pastors, lead the congregation by teaching, shepherding, equipping, and establishing vision and direction for the church. The Church Council currently includes our three lead pastors as well as four elected laypersons.

How are we Congregational:

River Oak Church is a congregational church because our members are responsible for voting on items such as the annual budget, election of church officers (including Church Council), amendments to the church’s Constitution or Bylaws, and the call or removal of pastoral staff.
