Eric joined our staff as Executive Pastor in January 2023, after retiring from a 30-year career in the Navy. His military career took him all over the world, and his varied ministry experiences include working as a Children and Youth Pastor at a local church, chaplain for the New Orleans Saints, and serving as a Navy chaplain deploying with the Marines, Naval Special Warfare, and Coast Guard. He is a graduate of Columbia College (BS Criminal Law), New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (DMin in Leadership), and is currently a Doctoral candidate with Liberty University. Eric is excited to be back in Hampton Roads to pursue his passion for teaching God’s word. He also enjoys watching sports, working out, and spending time with his family. The Lord has blessed Eric and his wife, Tami, with four children—Pierce (and his wife Patricia), Maddie Grace, Reed, and Jude.
