Blake has been a member of River Oak Church since high school. As a teen, he always enjoyed sports and played football at Old Dominion University where he studied Applied Mathematics. During his junior year of college, the Lord called Blake into ministry, and he soon began serving as a volunteer small group leader for our students. After graduating from ODU, he began attending seminary online, and now holds a Master of Divinity from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. In January 2021, Blake officially joined our staff team and currently serves as our Director of Students. He enjoys serving the Lord by preaching and teaching God’s word, and discipling teens, families, and leaders. Blake and his wife, BryAnna, were married in March of 2020 and have two young daughters, Layla and Rosey. In his free time, he enjoys taking walks and going to the beach with his family as well as hunting, playing basketball, playing piano, and reading books with a hot cup of coffee. Blake will drink hot coffee in 100-degree weather.
