River Oak Outreach
River Oak Angel Tree Ministry provides new clothing, toys, and resources to over 300 Chesapeake area students and families in need during the Christmas season as a way to show God’s love and provision.

“Fill a Bag, Feed a Family” is our Thanksgiving meal ministry that provides full Thanksgiving meals to over 100 families in need in Chesapeake.
FILL A BAG, FEED A FAMILY
ROOTS exists to support, love, and care for our area schools, students, teachers, administrators, and staff. We focus primarily on local lower income schools and try to help bridge the gap by providing supplies and encouragement to the teachers and students as a way to model Christ’s love and provision.

Acts 29 exists to fulfill the local mission of The Great Commission by prayerfully engaging our neighborhoods to give every person the opportunity to hear the Gospel. We get the opportunity to connect with people where they’re at, pray for them, and have gospel conversations when the opportunity arises.

OCC is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world. They partner with the local church worldwide to share the good news of Jesus and make disciples of the nations. ROC partners with OCC to fill shoeboxes with toys, gifts, but most importantly the message of Jesus.
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
Our C4 (Christ, Community, Cars, & Coffee) car show kicks off every 3rd Saturday of the month, April through October. This is a great opportunity for River Oak to reach people through beautiful cars, free donuts and coffee, and sharing the gospel and an invitation to River Oak.
C4 CRUISE-IN
Young Life introduces adolescents to Jesus. YoungLives vision is to reach teen moms by entering their world, modeling the unconditional love of Christ, and encouraging them to become the women and mothers God created them to be.
YOUNG LIFE AND YOUNG LIVES
ROC Builders is an outreach ministry within River Oak that connects members to ministry opportunities through building, construction, and home repair projects locally and nationally.
ROC BUILDERS
CAST is a community of churches providing overnight winter shelter for the homeless in our area. It typically runs for 20 weeks from November – April and River Oak has the privilege of hosting a week in January.
CHESAPEAKE AREA SHELTER TEAM (CAST)
Christ-centered organization with a calling to reach women & families involved in crisis-related pregnancies by offering real help for the present, hope for the future, & healing from the past. Events include Walk for Life and LifeChange.
CRISIS PREGNANCY CENTER
(CPC)
The women of ROC join the Union Mission women to provide dinner, a devotional, crafts, and fellowship. They also collect and deliver beautiful Easter baskets, pajamas, and other much needed items throughout the year.
UNION MISSION MISSIONS SHELTER
Freekind is a Christian-based nonprofit on mission to prevent human trafficking and support those who have been exploited in our communities. Based in Hampton, Virginia, it serves more than 160 clients each year.

Mission Church is a diverse community of believers, enjoying the gospel, living on mission, and pursuing multiplication. ROC has the honor and privilege of walking alongside Mission Church in partnership through prayer, outreach events, physical support through building projects and financial support.
MISSION CHUCH
Vassar Road Baptist Church is located in Poughkeepsie, New York, and is led by Pastor Jake Dunlow. They are a fellowship of Christians that seek to live out the joy of knowing Jesus. They are passionate about the gospel and desires to see it spread throughout Poughkeepsie and the world.
